The other activity was the planting of peace trees at Mokoallong High School. This marked the beginning of school orchards in the 24 schools that DPE works with under Peaceful School Model. Principals, teachers, students, parents were extremely happy about the initiative, and they see it as a practical way of helping students to be positively engaged in their education. The Ministry of Forestry pledged support to the initiative. DPE looks forward to supporting schools to build student participation structures and supporting teachers to work with students.
